Vijay 59 is a Tamil action drama film written and directed by Atlee. The movie features Vijay in a dual role alongside Amy Jackson and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, J. Mahendran as the main antagonist^[4] as well as Prabhu, K.S.Ravikumar and Raadhika Sarathkumar in supporting roles.The film, produced by V.Creations features background score and soundtrack composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar with cinematography handled by George C. Williams and editing is handled by Ruben while production designed by T. Muthuraj The film expected to release on Pongal 2016

Production[edit]

The film shooting has been planned to be shot in 140 days starts 1 July to December 2015. Atlee plans to shoot some shots at China. Samantha was selected to do one of the female lead. Vijay to act as a police officer in the film. Shooting of the film to start in 20 July 2015. The first schedule included an introductory song for Vijay without female leads. Samantha joined sets on 23 July 2015. Samantha plays a role of a college girl who lives independently
